Ngozi, Ada and other Pupils at the School Garden
Ngozi and Ada were best friends since they started school. They always sat together in class, played together during recess, and helped each other with homework. They shared their dreams, secrets, and fears. They were inseparable.
One day, they decided to visit the school garden after their last lesson. They wanted to see the flowers, the butterflies, and the birds. They also wanted to take some pictures for their scrapbook. They asked their teacher for permission, and she agreed, as long as they came back before the school bus left.
They ran to the garden, holding hands and laughing. They saw many beautiful things: roses, sunflowers, lilies, and more. They also saw some of their classmates who were working on a gardening project. They greeted them and asked if they could join them. The other pupils welcomed them and gave them some tools and seeds. They showed them how to dig, plant, and water the soil.
Ngozi and Ada enjoyed the activity very much. They felt happy and relaxed. They learned a lot about plants and nature. They also made some new friends. They took turns to take pictures of each other and the garden. They wanted to capture the moment and remember it forever.
They thanked the other pupils and the teacher for letting them join the project. They said goodbye and headed back to the school building. They still had some time before the bus left, so they decided to look at the pictures they took. They smiled and hugged each other. They felt lucky to have each other and the garden. They agreed that it was the best day ever.
