The Greedy Dog
One day, a dog was very hungry and went out in search of food. He wandered around the town until he found a butcher's shop. He saw a big piece of meat hanging from a hook and decided to steal it. He waited for the right moment and quickly snatched the meat with his mouth. He ran away as fast as he could, hoping no one would notice him.
He was very happy with his prize and wanted to find a quiet place to enjoy it. He crossed a bridge over a river and looked down at the water. He saw his own reflection in the water and thought it was another dog with a bigger piece of meat. He became very greedy and wanted to have both pieces of meat. He barked at the reflection, hoping to scare it away and take its meat.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, the meat he was holding fell into the river. He tried to catch it, but it was too late. The meat was gone and he was left with nothing. He realized his mistake and felt very sorry for himself. He had lost his own meat because of his greed. He wished he had been more content with what he had and not tried to take more than he deserved. He learned a valuable lesson that day: Greed is the root of all evil.``
